Big Kahuna Wing Festival
The Big Kahuna Wing Festival is centered around the creation of “Buffalo Wings” and takes place on June 16th from noon-8 pm. The festival includes activities such as a Wing Eating Competition, Bobbing for Wings Competition, Wing Cooking Competition, Live Music Performances, Kids Corner & Entertainment, and Silent Auction. Children’s Festival of Reading
This festival, on May 19th, is perfect for children. There are arts and crafts, storytelling, meet and greets, games, music, food, and multiple interactive enrichment activities from community groups. Flamingo Day 5K- Knoxville
June 23rd is Pink Flamingo Day along with June being PTSD Awareness Month, so the people of Knoxville have started doing an annual Flamingo Day 5K. The race is a virtual race, so all you have to do is pick any location and participants can walk or run, and once you turn in your official time, they will directly ship a metal to your home. 15% of every registration is given to Active Heros, whose mission is to support all U.S. military service members, veterans and their families through physical, education, and emotional programs in an effort to eliminate suicide.
